Encinitas Indoor Cycling Studio
Katie and Phil Attebery jumped at the chance to be Encinitas Indoor Cycling Studio owners to pursue their passion for health and fitness and to finally work for themselves. Together since 2005, they both found success and climbed the corporate ladder in the financial services industry: Phil’s career has been in client-advising and business development while Katie focused on client service operations and team management. After spending six years in the Pacific Northwest, they returned to Southern California in 2014 for its beautiful climate and outdoor coastal lifestyle. Phil is an Ironman All World Athlete triathlete and enjoys being able to train outdoors year round, while also throwing in Rush Rides for variety. Katie’s involvement with Rush Cycling Studio began in 2014 as a client when she was immediately hooked by the supportive community and motivational instructors. She completed the Instructor Training Program and began instructing at the Carmel Valley and La Jolla studios in 2015. With their professional backgrounds, Katie and Phil bring their financial savvy and operational excellence to a business they are passionate about. They are thrilled to be part of the Encinitas community and to bring the Indoor Rush Cycling experience to North County!
Katie and Phil live in Carmel Valley with their two cats, Goose and Sophie, and their dog Nina. When not training or teaching classes, they can be found at Del Mar Dog Beach or exploring local restaurants. Phil grew up in Ventura, CA and is an alumnus of UC San Diego. He continues to advise clients for a large wealth management firm with offices nationwide and will provide financial oversight to the studio. Katie grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and is an alumna of Vanderbilt University and Willamette University’s Atkinson School of Management. She will be managing the day to day operations of Encinitas Indoor Cycling Studio continuing to teach classes.
